Columbia Falls tennis player Molly Schmit won a match at the state A tournament in Kalispell last week.

Schmit beat Taylor Woods of Lewistown 7-6, 6-4 in the loser-out bracket on the first day.

Nicole Hritsco edged Schmit 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 to open the tourney.

In the second round of the loser-out bracket, Schmit lost to Hannah Madsen of Whitefish 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
