The Columbia Falls volleyball team went 1-2 on the week.

Last Tuesday, the Wildkats lost to Libby, 25-18, 25-17, 25-12 in their home opener, then bounced back to beat Ronan on the road Thursday, 25-11, 25-10, 25-22, but lost to Stevensville Saturday at home in five sets, 25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-12.

Ryley Kehr led the Kats with 12 kills against the Yellowjackets.

Angelica Street had 15 digs.

The young Kats squad had a lead in the second set, but couldn’t hold on, making a few too many errors.

“We are learning from each match and then adjusting accordingly. I’m proud of these girls for working hard and competing like they have been,” coach Jolandie Brooks said.

Kehr had 11 kills against Ronan to lead the Kats as well. Hannah Schweikert, a freshman, had 20 of the team’s 21 assists.

The girls host travel to Whitefish Thursday for a conference showdown.

Games start at 4:15 p.m.
