Columbia Falls Swim Team takes first at Conrad meet

The Columbia Falls Swim Team earned another first place finish over the weekend as 40 swimmers brought home the championship trophy from the Conrad Meet.

Catherine Opalka and Alanis Petersen each won the high-point trophies for their age group, each winning three individual races, as Columbia Falls came away from the meet with 42 top-three finishes. The swimmers won nine individual races and seven relays while also finishing second 15 times and third in 11 races.

Opalka was the winner of the girls 8 and under 100 individual medley, 25 breaststroke and 50 freestyle individual races and was also a member of the winning 100 freestyle relay while Petersen won the girls 9-10 division 100 individual medley, 50 breaststroke and 100 freestyle individual races.

Other individual race winners included Avery Role, Campbell Fox and Annika Petersen.

The team will be back in action this weekend, swimming at the Chester Meet.
