2019 Boogie to the Bank draws 283 runners

After a close race last year, the finish at this summerís Boogie to the Bank was not quite as dramatic as Columbia Falls runner Marcelo Laguera won the 10K race by nearly four minutes.

Laguera finished the course in 33:04.72, beating out Kalispellís Trace Hobbs, who finished second at 37:58.52.

Columbia Falls had two other runners in the top 10 as Ryan Walther was fifth and Jim Peacock was sixth.

Lindsey Bengston of West Glacier was the top finisher in the womenís 10K, finishing in 41:02.03 while Niki Dezzani of Columbia Falls was second at 42:15.63.

In the 5K races, Elizabeth Wasserman of Goshen, New York, was the winner of the womenís race at 18:25.56 while Owen Stewart of Lethbridge, Alberta won the menís race with a time of 17:03.42.

This yearís race featured 283 participants, down from 325 last year.
