Soccer squads combine to put 15 on All-Conference teams

The Columbia Falls boys and girls soccer teams combined to place 15 players on the Northwest A All-Conference Team, including five All-State selections.

The Wildkats had four All-State and eight All-Conference selections after a season in which they went 12-2 to win the Northwest A Conference and advanced to the state semi-final before losing to eventual state champion Laurel.

Senior Josie Windauer, who will graduate as the Wildkats all-time leading goal scorer, was an All-State and All-Conference First Team selection. Windauer led Class A with 33 goals this season, which was also a school record.

Maddie Robison was also a first team and All-State selection after setting the schoolís season record in assists with 15. A sophomore, Robison is already the schoolís all-time leader in assists with 25.

Defensive standouts Flora Jarvis and Lexi Purcell were also first team and All-State selections while LaKia Hill was named All-Conference First Team.

The Katsí had a single second-team selection in Cheyanne Jonston-Heinz while Alexis Green and Sydney Mann were Honorable Mention.

The boys had seven All-Conference selections and one player named to the All-State team after going 7-5 to advance to the playoffs as the second-place team in the Northwest A Conference.

Senior keeper Story Stemborski was the Catsí lone All-State selection while fellow senior Niels Getts was named to the All-Conference First Team after finishing sixth in scoring in Class A this season with 13 goals.

Reed Sandstrom, Johnny Carl, Tyler Hull and Jason Albin were second team members and Mikey Tamburelli was an Honorable Mention selection.
